Thread: what module controls the trackpad

i was having an issue and wanted to see if anyone here can help me with it. i have a bold with the optical trackpad and want to know what module controls that. any help would be welcomed.

Hello eub9f15, welcome to the community. when you say module are you talking about the program control the controls the invoke of the track pads movement up down left right and the clicking down?
if so yes i know where it is and how to remove it. may i ask why you would want to tho?

Thanks for the super dupper fast reply lshap. yes that wahts im talking about. i want to remove it from my brothers berry to make him think its broken. i always get the broken stuff. :0. can you help me?

lol well that's definitely a new reason that i have not encountered yet but i suppose there is a first time for everything lol.

as for if I can help.... yes i can. i only provide info for help and educational purposes so what you choose to do with that info is your call.

the JVM has 2 modules that invoke the key presses. one if for the up, down, left, and right movement and the other is for the "click and unclick"

if you want to remove them the only way is with the device fully loaded and using javaloader with the -f "force command" if you pull the list of modules (include dependencies) it will be approx half way down the list. ill try to get the exact name and pm you with it.
to place it back the module can be reloaded if you extract it first but may have problems with re initializing it back into the os so a app loader may have to be done to reload it correctly.

i must say that is one of the more techy questions i have seen this week but good luck and post back if needed.
