Thread: Bricked bold 9000 helpp???

Hi guys my problem is that my bold wont turn on at all and everytime I insert the charger or the usb cable the red LED light flashes, ive been told that the phone is "bricked" or has some 507 error I have tried JL CDMR but my pc does not recognize my BB no matter what i do , im about to try BBSAK but it will be proberly pointless as my pc does not recognize my bb at all or am i wrong? can some1 help me this is very frustrating!!!!???

At the carrier I work for, if a "bricked" phone call comes through tech support, one of the ways I have helped get the phone working is to remove the battery, plug it in to the computer **the computer does not have to recognize it** and proceed to reinstall the OS.

Hey joshjamie ive tried to directly load the OS onto the phone but when it comes to the loader part nothing comes up in the connection box in order for me to click next. So i tried to download bbsak and at the end of the download a error comes up saying " A network error occured while attempting to read the file" . I dont know what to do now my pc just wont recognize the bb

Did you remove the vendor file after you installed to your computer?

ok so i finally got bbsak 1.9 downloaded so i can wipe my device but the program will not recognize my BB at all , just like my pc and in the tutorial video it says if the program does not recognize your bb click kill processes then click connect and it should work but it still wont connect im really lost now!

The last link in my signature, "How to recover a nuked BB"...hit that link and folow the steps in it. I'm guessing that while you were trying to load the operating system earlier, you unplugged before it was completed.

Hey the thing is when i get to step 7 on "how to recover a nuked bb" when i connect my bb to my pc nothing comes up in the connection box USB PIN UNKNOWN is meant to show so you can click next but nothing happens

i have no problem installing the new OS on my bb , the problem is just initiating the opportunity to do so.

If your pc is not recognizing your device, it sounds like you have bricked it. Follow this link to see if you can get the connection established.

if it has been bricked does that mean there is no way of fixing it? , because i cant get a connection established at all.

If you follow the link I posted above, it will work around a bricked device and get it unbricked in order to load the operating system.

thats the thing ive followed it many times it just wont connect

It will take several attempts to do this, as you need to time it just right when the loader screen comes up where it recognizes your device. I once had to do it 19 times on a friends bb in order to get it. Timing is key here.

do u have to reapeat the whole process , or just take the wire out and plug it bak in simultaneously until you get the loader screen to recognize your device? i appreciate your help btw

Just close the loader application and then restart it. To play it safe, unplug the device from the usb cable and plug it back in as you need to as per the instructions.

Be patient karl, this could be a quick process or a long one....depends all in the timing. Don't forget to remove you battery btw as you are doing this
