Thread: Bold - set to 3g only

Ok as a bold user it gets quite frustrating when my handset drops down to GPRS, is there anyway of setting it to run on 3g only?

If anyone has a solution! please let me know.

Not sure. There may not be.

only way to get that option is either enabling the escreen (which will revert back on every reboot) or having a bold with vendor id 1

Isnt that defined from network coverage? I mean, there are areas with 3G and areas with proper GPRS reception... right?

well mine have the option on mobile network settings to change it to 2G only, 3G only, 2G and 3G....

and yes... if you choose 3G only, when you're on 2G area, your phone will get no signal at all (for me it's better to stay at 2G than not be able to browse or chat)
