Thread: 5.0 Core Apps Update

Hi All,
I have installed DM 5 and noticed that there is an update on 5.0.0.90 on the Bold.

You need to run DM 5 and click on Application Loader and then it will download the Core Applications to the Bold.

Will update once it is done.

Here is what it gave me after the update.

ya it came out yesterday i think. and its a decent build OS needs some improvment, ie. the browser dosent work (just media net and hotspot browser)

Browser works for me but sure wish Yahoo and other IM would work.

I was going to go back to .247 but will wait a few days to see if there are other updates.

If anyone sees that the IM are working, please post here so we can all enjoy.

thats another thing that dosent work, and also from what ive heard vigo dosent work eithier

I've gone back to 247 due to some programs failing to update or install. On these programs I'm receiving an Invalid COD error. I suspect the same is true for the other programs that people have reported they aren't working.

Was thinking of the same earlier but decided to wait a few days to see if there will be more updates using DM5.

I feel that there will also be more releases in the next few days because there are too many bugs.

Always like this with the first version.

well you got to take into consideration, its only in its .90 build. its gonna have problems. for example the storm is in its (official for verizon) .75 and to the public its in .122 and still has many bugs

I have 122 running on my Storm and I find it better than 114.

What bugs have you found on 122?

radio, accelerometer. it may seem fine to you and everyone else. but is no were near where its suppose to be so technically its buggy

I agree with the accelerometer not too good. Radio for me is no problem.

like i said its good to most but not where its suppose to be...and as for the browser working, your useing medianet or hotspot browser, i was talking about the BB browser

Is one supposed to risk and download a Beta?

idk how the DM is, im still on 4.7. and i installed the 5.0.0.90 OS on bold friday night, its very stable. a few apps dont work (ie. facebook, im's, vigo, blackbery browser) the medianet and hotspot browser still work just not the bb browser...decent battery and a couple other UI changes

You don't have to, but the beta is there to check out.

I heard a few reports...it is touch and go.

Some say really good, some say really bad...awww beta's, gotta love em.

I upgraded to DM 5.0, backup my .247 setting/data, re-installed 5.0.0.90, and now everything is working well. Only one app (BBWeather) doesn't want to play well.

Do you have the browser working also or just media net and hot spot?

I tried it and had problems and I just put 266 on instead of the 247 and giving that a try.

already downgraded!
