Thread: Can't take Facebook 1.7 anymore!!!

I'm running OS 5.0.0.314 on my Bold 9000, and simply cannot take Facebook 1.7 anymore. It's god awful slow, and seems to be incredibly inconsistent on how it handles incoming email notifications and processing them.

Does anyone have a link for the 1.6 cod's available anywhere? Going through any of RIM's vehicles to get to it insists my 'berry isn't supported.

Be sure that you uninstall 1.7 and reboot BEFORE you open and install this OTA.

Thanks a ton for this ... doesn't seem to be working correctly, though. I nuked FB 1.7 (using AppWorld so it didn't try all it's "archive" business), did a battery pull, installed this 1.6 OTA, did a battery pull ... and now there is no FB icon anywhere, even though it's listed in my installed apps.

Not a big deal ... I'm about to wipe and put 5.0.0.238 back on here anyway. I've pretty much had it with .314's poor voice quality, goofed up notification icons and memory leaks. I'll let you know if that goes any differently.

After a BBSAK wipe, reinstall of a clean 5.0.0.238 build, that OTA link still doesn't seem to work. It apparently installs, but there is no icon anywhere to be found ... and the app listing under Options/Applications doesn't have the Facebook icon on it.

Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with 1.7 until RIM decides to improve the damned thing.
