Thread: Vodafone Facebook & Twitter update app

Here's a neat little app that Vodafone has released while we all patiently wait for RIM's Twitter app. Vodafone released "Vodafone Update", a social network app that allows users to post status updates to their Twitter & Facebook accounts.

• What are you doing right now? Post tweets to one or both of your social networks

• Reply to your friends’ messages directly from your BlackBerry

• Search for real-time news in Twitter

• Share what you see with others instantly! Take photos with your BlackBerry and send them to one or both of your networks with just one click

• Easy to use – just download, start and you’re done

The app currently only supports the Curve 8900 and the Bold 9000. No official confirmation on if the app works on other carriers yet either. Download it and let us know if it does.

Ha, you are right! Works great on my 9530. Touch support and all!

T-Mobile Bold 9000 and 9700 working ok, really fast and very nice application, and is 300 + kb size whixh is good for twitter app, also twitpic integration, well done Vodafone.

No BIS though. WAP, WiFi and BES only.

Won't connect for me when I choose BES. WAP works fine. Landscape mode looks well too =]

working fine for me when selecting bes on my 9530 on verizon

I loaded this app with BES and it is working well. However, I can not get it to work in landscape mode. Can someone help me?

i loaded it on 9500, disabled compatibility, chose WAP, works fine...but somehow i cant get my twitter credintials to work, the browser gives me some crap error...i got over it and removed it...i dont use twitter that much...i'm still using the social scope...its working fine for me so far...

did u disable compatibility mode?

Yep ATT works without a problem.

Working great on Verizon 9530 BES! Nice little app, love having Twitter and Facebook on one app. Really glad I didn't pay the big buck for TG, especially after the reviews that I've seen for the Storm! This app looks like a keeper for a while!

can someone explain to me how to download this program, I keep getting the run around

How do you disable compatibility? Or is that a feature only available on the Storm?

On your phone go to options-application-highlight the program-hit bb button and scroll down till you see disable compatibility
