Thread: Weird issue with TweetGenius

Experiencing something odd with TweetGenius. If I click on a username in TG, a menu appears with the option to follow them. If I click on the Follow link, TG opens UberTwitter's 'follow' page! I deleted UT, rebooted, tried again - this time TG attempted to open SocialScope. Neither of those apps was currently running. Deleted SocialScope, and now TG opens it's own menu, where I get the choice to View User, and from there I can follow them. Is anybody else seeing this, or am I just lucky? Running a Tour w/ 4.7.1.61.

Nope when I was running TG that happened as well. The only way I was able to stop it from happening was deleting SS and UT. I liked TG so much it really didn't bother me, so I never took the time to see if there was a fix at:

It happened on 4.7.1.40, 5.0.0.191, 5.0.0.230

It appears it's actually pulling up the UG or SS menus instead of its own, if they are installed. Gotta get that fixed - lots of folks have multiple Twitter apps.

Have you sent this issue to them so they are aware of it?

Trying to figure out exactly how to accomplish that. No forums on the site - except BeeJive -related forums. Sent a tweet to @boygenius to see if there was a forum somewhere, told him I was having some weird s*&t. Haven't heard back yet.

I believe you can send a support email through the user portal? It has been awhile since I have been in there so things might have changed.

I know you said you sent BG a tweet, but did you try tweetgenius?

the memory leak in this app....unbelievable...out of this world...

Two things:

1) if you're having a problem, email them at support@thetweetgenius.com

2) as for a memory leak, i haven't personally experienced that and i've been using tweetgenius since it first came out (before the beejive partnership). one thing that does make things more manageable is to set it to only refresh when you look at your timeline.
