Thread: TweetGenius Now Available for Purchase!

For those of you still waiting for an invite to SocialScope, or you are simply looking for something else to help you with your Twitter fix, TweetGenius is now available for purchase. The user interface looks amazing, and although I haven't had time to jump in with both feet, I'm impressed. On a technical note, the app has been tested on all current OS's, including the newly launched 5.0. SureType devices (the Pearl and Pearl Flip) however are not supported. Go to Beejive's website for more information on what may be the start of a Twitter revolution on Blackberrys everywhere!

Sounds neat, but $7.99 for a Twitter app? really?

They still don't offer any sort of free trial do they?

Nope.

if tweetgenius had "reply to all" and the availability of checking followers/following, it would be my daily twitter app. it def has the looks going but lacking some options...

oh and multi acct support would be dandy too

But I agree some key options are def missing to make it the top twitter IMO

Good question and I look at like this...

If you are looking at Free twitter apps there is none better than UT IMO it is packed with a ton of options, and all you have to put up with for it being free are some ads. But the rest of the free ones I tried just do not stack up they are very basic with no options. But for some they work just fine since they don't want a lot of options.

As far as paid apps TG is the tops in my book the ease of use UI and options it currently offers are great. The picture upload time on TG was the fastest of any app (paid or free), and I used them all. SocialScope is another great one (if you can get an invite) and that seems to have the mindset for options like UT does. But we don't know what will happen with that one once it is finally released? Well the lite option still contain those features or will they move to the full version. Will there be a lite (free) version when it is all said and done?

how is this performing on the storm chaps im tempted
ubertwitter is my usual but it tends to cut my text out the screen
probably an os problem

I have seen a couple people complaining that the scrolling seems laggy running the official 5.0 OS?? But I can't personally test it

Seems laggy on 4.7 as well. Finishing the 10 minute reboot now. It improves DRASTICALLY once all tweets have been loaded obviously. LOL

As I've said from the beginning, there is absolutely no way I am handing over money for any app without any sort of free trial first. I think it's absurd to ask for that much money without even a 3 day free trial.

I have to recomend waiting on this app if you have a Storm. It just doesn't feel right. Scrolling is very choppy and no flick. Beautiful app, but just not there yet. I wasted $8 today.

When the tweets get cut off, switch to/from landscape/portrait and its fixed. This is a bug they are working on. It also goes away when the screen refreshes so if you have it set to refresh upon opening it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

The scrolling issue was definitely an OS issue. It went away when I got .328 and worked like a charm.

Also, in case no one knew this, if you have Verizon you should go into UT options and set your connection to Direct/TCP, not Auto network or BIS. This will drastically improve the speed all together!

I totally agree. The only way I'd buy without trying it, is if the good folks on here tried it out for me & give the go ahead.
