Same here...had it once...didn't like it but want it back now that I can use my own number. Now it says that the on-phone app is "not available for your phone". What gives?
Here's the deal. When Google Voice 0.1.6 was released initially (around the same time that Verizon released 5.0 officially for the Storm), it worked just fine with the 9530 after you turned off compatibility mode. Apparently, they decided they don't want to give Storm 9530 users the option to turn off the compatibility mode since it wasn't really designed to take advantage of all that the Storm has to offer. That being said, I downloaded the Google Voice app for my Storm the day that Verizon released 18.104.22.1688.
I also, luckily, had backed up my apps using BBSAK (so I had Google Voice's .cod for when it could be downloaded to the Storm). So I had no problem re-installing Google Voice app for the Storm 9530, just had to use BBSAK to install the .cod manually, then once it was loaded, I disabled compatibility mode.
All that being said, the .cod for Google Voice for the Storm (though you must disable compatibility mode to use the screen as a touch screen and not a trackball) is saved on my computer and if you PM me, I can get it to you via e-mail.
A side note: I have 2 Google Voice Invites remaining, let me know if you are interested in getting them!
