Thread: having problem with ringtones

hi everyone i installed the new os 5.0 i have the storm 1 i dl some ringtones from crackberry and now i cannot open them on my phone. when i open the email it usually lets me touch the screen and it tuns red so i can dl the ringtone to my phone. any suggestings. thanks

have you tried hitting the bbkey and download attachment?

yes i have there is no download attachment like before. i had it before i dl the new os

you may want to plug back into DM and make sure you installed the attachment service.. that would be the only other thing i could think of. if there is a link in the email you could try copying and pasting it to your browswer and see if it will download that way.

Well not sure were to put this so here it is. My storm keeps dropping my ringtones and notification tones. Does it after tethered and also just out of the blue. Only fix I have is a battery pull. Any help wpuld be much appreciated..

After tethering, does your profile change...like from LOUD to...say..MEDIUM ?

WNo not at all it works for a while then nothing have to do a bat pull to get it to work.

As I have never done any tethering...lemme see if I can find someone to help...

What OS are you running ?

The newest offical release 5.0

Hmmmmm...did you load this OS from DM or apploader...and did you "Shrink" it ?

Have you resent your service books?

Are your ring-tones stored on your memory card? If so you may try prompting on plug for mass storage mode and then saying no when you are tethering. It sounds as if your profile is changing or the memory is in use by something else.. which if you are plugged into a PC and have mass storage mode on it will not play any ring-tones except the stock ones as your media card is being used by the PC as a removable drive

Have not resent service books I will try that and I only use stock ring tone. I again appreciate the help.
