still no joy on this topic. looked in setup for way to resend service books cant find it. also this happens on days that i am not even tethered. 6 times today and havnt been hook to my computer.

on your berry, there should be a setup folder, in this your will find icons for e.g. general setting, email setup, bluetooth and the like, open email setup and connect with your provider, when on this page there should be a help menu in which you find the option to resend service books

Ok I found that and performed. got confirmation emails from vzw and yahoo now how will that help?

when i go to email settings my email addresses come then i hit the blackberry key and it gives me an option for service books click that then it will walk you through it.

not sure that it will help on your specific problem, either - the service books make sure, that the connectivity of your berry is as it should be...
to me it seems as if there is a sudden change of your profiles when you tether or not...

i have checked and everything is as it should be. it just seems like their gone and then back again. i really appreciate the help. i'll see if this helps and keep ya posted thas again.
