Thread: Blackberry Master Control Program Updated! (Even MORE features!)

I've been wondering for a while if anyone else around BBOS knew about the Blackberry Master Control Program Utility. I've used earlier versions of this software and was very impressed with the TONS of features built into this program, its getting better and better and eventually I think in the future this may be the Blackberry Utility of choice that will be able to do it all! The latest version adds even MORE functionality, have a look at all the features this free software includes. The newest version 0.9.2.0 Beta 10 was just released today:

Curious to hear everyone's opinion and thoughts about this software! Note: A lot of the features included within this utility are for advanced BlackBerry users, if you don't know what your doing then ask! :duh:

Here is a summarized list of the new features :

• Brand new graphics for the navigation panel and installers.
• Save Modules now allows user to create ALX/JAD for saved modules
• Added Backup & Restore for third party applications (2 clicks)
• Added ALX/JAD Builder with drag & drop window for building the module list
• System tray icon right click context menu updated
• By default MCP minimizes to taskbar now, not the system tray (clean installs only)
• Left side navigation panel reduced number of icons dramatically (it was too cluttered)
• Auto PIN checking is now at 3 seconds (clean install)
• OS Management: Added "Delete JVM" checkbox (if checked Application Loader will start with the /nojvm parameter which will destroy JVM on the device)
• OS Management: Added "Full Wipe" checkbox (if checked Java Loader will "Wipe" the device destroying any existing IT Policies prior to the OS installation)
• Navigation: Load/Erase/Save Modules used to be "hidden" under the "Java Loader" page, they are now in the main navigation area
• MCP Engine updated to Java Loader 5.0.0 Beta 4

Yea I really do think this has a lot of potential, the newest version I believe is written more for Vista/Windows 7....It's still beta and I can notice some instability but once this gets out of beta I think its going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Been using this tool since the first release, is getting better and better, just a FYI do not checkmark any option just to see what it is, could brick the phone.

I love it!! Like E I found it back when it was just a young program.
It is VERY much an advance program it does everything bbsak can do plus some.
If your a Jl_cmder fan this is the cats meow.

this looks great! any chance of getting a mac version? I need a program that will unbrick a berry on a mac!!!!

:crazy:I am a newbie with the bb and this is my first time hearing of this. Does this take the place of DTM or BBSAK?

Tried installing, it crashes every time I run the program. Windows 7 x86... bleh

Did you try running as admin or using vista/xp compatibility mode?

Wow. I'm dumb, all I had to do is read the second error screen, It needs flash.ocx Time to install flash for windows, not just FF

Just tried to run the "stable" version on my vistax64 machine and it failed to start up, stating that the program had stopped working.

Didn't help, still says the file's required. Wonder whats going on there.

Angel I have never used this program.. I am sure someone will be through to help you get it up and running.
