At the top (white letters on a red background) it reads "bbOSalert".
Underneath that, "Send Alerts To:"
Underneath that, "*Empty*"

Send it to an email address you have set up on your phone.
Or take a screen cap of your screen so we can see.
install CaptureIt @ The Tech Mogul - Welcome To TheTechMogul
OK...here's the screen I got:
![]()
In the application you will need to set up your device to send alerts to an email account that is associated with that device.
If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, I would use that email account.
I guess that's what the problem was.
I setup a BB account through my provider & it's showing up now.
I feel like a doofus!
no need to, most of the time, it's the obvious solution we all do not think of, we're just humans :-)
Be sure to save your activation code as well because when you upgrade from OS to OS the application will require you to use the activation code again.
issue having here is when choosing a email to send alerts to. Which i have choosen all five just to see then click the menu button and continue. It says updating and then "Error Failed to transmit" I am on a BES and im also the BES admin only thing locked down on it is 15 min timeout password. Everything else is open ended also running 5.0.0.442 and on a 9700. any ideas would be great.
I only choose one at a time and also i got an email from RIM on the tech issues they had over the weekend for my company. Thats why i waited til today to try again which i have removed and reinstalled the software with still no luck.
I would recommend waiting until the data outage is fixed and try again. If that doesn't work then email support@bbosalert.com and they can see if they can help. I really wish i had some more info for you but all seems to be working well here.
thanks for the help much appreciate it
what worked for me was removing service books Desktop [IPPP] this did remove my blackberry browser from my device but i use internet browser. but since then the app works fine.
