I personally rarely use bbsak to back up apps...as I don't wipe the phone in between OS changes, unless I run into issues. So, when I update, all my info/apps is automatically backed up and restored. Plus, I don't have many new apps, so if I lose them, I have a back up that's missing may be 2 or 3 of them, which is fine.

bbsak is committing a faux pas by naming their app's files bbosalert. BB developers should be naming their files after the application name and if additional names are needed they should be named bbsak_XXX and bbsak_YYY where XXX and YYY are values like osalert or whatever else is needed. That way they don't have naming collisions with other existing apps.

OK got 2 popup alerts and vibrate this morning again (3:30 am woke my butt up!)
about the bbOSalert update and a new hybrid.
But what is weird, my BB did NOT get the emails.
When I check my emails on my computer (AOL, Gmail)
the emails are there in my mailbox. I even tried the "Send Test Alert" with
different email address (AOL, Gmail, sprint.blackberry) none of the
emails come to my BB, but are in my mailbox on the computer
(well I can't tell on sprint.blackberry, but I know it didn't come to my BB)
Is this supposed to happen like that?

Do you have the correct email associated with your BB added to the email option in bbOS Alert?

When you get an alert on your BB, the program should see the new email, pop up the alert, and also delete the email.

I tried 3 different email addresses, to check to see about the emails.
Including my sprint.blackberry address.
If you say that the program sees the email and then deletes it,
then I guess that is what it's doing...
Now if I can only get it to stop vibrating sooooooo early in the morning.

Yeah you won't actually see the email on your BB.

Accidently deleted the email with my activation code and sent an email request for a new one .Havnet heard from anyone all day any help?????

I was wondering about the "Hybrid" option. I have it selected as one of my notifications, however I have not received any alerts. There have been a few hybrids released to the general public over at BBHybrids. I'm wondering why I didn't get a notification. Anyone else noticing this with a Storm 9530? I re-register my selections after an OS change!

Is there a download link for bbOSalerts? I forgot to back-up my apps after I upgraded to .328

I never receive alerts for hybrids! I see that bbhybrids released a new hybrid to the public today and I'm assuming that this should have caused me to receive an alert. Correct me if I'm wrong please!!

I have emailed support concerning this and have not received any type of answer.

Yes I have it checked off as one of my selected updates! Yes I'm sure the email isn't going to my junk folder, I have checked, and I receive alerts for all other updates!

Can anyone help with this issue?? Is anyone else receiving updates for hybrids??

Do you get the Pop Up box on your BB?
That is the alert and the email get deleted, when the
pop up box shows up.

Yes I understand about the "pop-up" box. No I don't get it! Have never received an alert for any hybrid!

Anyone else????

Can anyone confirm that they are receiving alerts for hybrids?? Specifically hybrids for the 9530???

Come to think about it...im using the BBOSAlert on 9500, and i do receive notifications for Leaks and Officials, but not Hybrids...

although there has been hybrids submitted to BBhybrids.net...lyricidal and Gabriel....

so yeah...no hybrids for me neither...
