It has now been updated to v1.1.13 so you owners make sure you check for updates on your phone and refresh once the application is installed.

Ok so bbsak has made a simple update process a pain inadvertantly....when I try to download bbosalert update it wants to overwrite the bbosalert module which is part of the whole bbsak backup once restored.if I do allow it. All the apps in the backup are gone.

If I download and install the update it overwrites the bbsak app listed in pplications which contains all my backup apps in the one file. So those would be off the phone but on pc still. If I then backup I will only backup bbosalert.I will just have to not use bbsaks backup method. It sucks imo.

Regardless I still am unable to upgrade the programs within the bbsak app/restore. Using OTA downlods. Which sucks. Ota is useful. Hope I'm making sense to someone.

When you do a bbsak back up it asks for you to rename the file. This in actuality will save your newly updated bbosalert. Those would be on the PC, but also if you back up via DM then you will save the files that you have updated as well. You can use either or so please do not get frustrated. There will be many updates to many applications now that 5.0 OS's are becoming more dominant in leaks and soon to be official releases.

When you backup through bbsak it will automatically back up all of your programs. I am unsure if you can insert it into previous back up and then restored, my apologies on that. I would just create a whole new back up list, if I were you. I currently have 9 back up, for every time I load a new OS or Hybrid. I may be a little lost in what you are saying, but at least hope that I am being some what helpful to you.

ok ok im on the pc now. with the new bbsak it creates the backup......thats easy. now when you use the new bbsak to restore the backup it creates basically what looks like an application. the modules listed in the app are my backed up apps which do not appear individually. only as modules in bbsak backup. now when i go to download the ota update for BBOS alert it says....bbosalert:bbosalert.com contains a module called bbosalert. A module with that name already exists in the BBSAK backup application, if you proceed, bbsak backup will be replaced by bbosalert:bbosalert.com Proceed?
and so far i have said no cause i just got by the computer....gonna try to delete the cods for the old version and find cods for new version and use bbsak to upload...but will probably mess up bbsak app by removing the cods i dont know..

Danielle, you can click yes and it will update the bbosalert and prompt you to reboot phone. Once it comes back up, you will need to enter the activation code again and should be good to co.
Also, I see that you are worried about all your apps being gone? I believe bbsak creates cods for your apps and an alx file, so it's exactly same process as DM did the old way (switch device wizard). You should not lose your apps. The update will only override the bbosalert module and will leave rest alone. If it says it will replace bbsak apps, then you may want to contact wowthatisrandom, who is the creator of bbsak and address the issue with them, as that should not be the case. I hope this helps.

hmmm thanks for the input. i should have went ahead and let it overwrite it to see what would happen. i deleted the bbsak restore app. and then downloaded bbosalert again. i may put the backup back on and see if it does overwrite like it says it will. id post the screen shot but i dont have a place to upload it to.
Unless you wanna hop on the BBOS group real quick lol

If you already have a back up, what you can do is run loader.exe and when list of apps come up, just uncheck bbosalert, and it will just keep the one you have on phone. Or...find the folder where bbsak saved the back up on pc, open it and delete bbosalert cod. Then run loader to restore apps.

Can you go into apps and delete bbosalert from there? Once that is done, you can OTA the newer version.

i think i got the image to attach. read it and see how you would interprate that lol
before deleting the bbsak app that was all that was in tthere. i deleted that and then got the bbosalert app no trouble.

To me it sounds like it will replace the bbosalert app that is in the bbsak back up...but yes that is worded very weird and confusing. If you have a back up, just go for it and see what it does.i think i got the image to attach. read it and see how you would interprate that lol

i should have but in the end i just deleted the bbsak app lol. only thing i paid for was bbosalert rest was free crap so in the end. maybe bbsak will read this little discussion
