Thread: Loaded FB 1.7; Tour appears bricked

I have Tour running 4.7.1.57. Loaded the new FaceBook 1.7 app tonight, and am now stuck in an endless reboot loop. Each boot goes about 5 minutes, and then starts over. It never reaches the point where the light blue status bar starts working its way across the bottom of the screen. I'd be happy to wipe the damned thing and reload, but can't even get far enough to connect to it and wipe. Researched the instructions for booting into 'safe mode' using the escape key after a battery pull, but that's not working either. Welcoming any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Take the battery out, connect to your PC then load your os over again, key is to put the battery back in when it gets to the first "reading device" stage of install!

Thanks, that DID work. Whadda pain in the butt though. Nuthin' I hate more than having to re-do all the stuff in the profiles. That is one area that 4.7.x.x has absolutely sucked. Not sure what happened with FB. After reloading the OS, I installed the updated FB before I even restored 3rd party apps and backups, and it's working great. Not sure what's different about it - sure no big leap from the previous version, unless there are hidden gems I've not yet discovered (which is entirely possible).

Do a system Back-up with DM this should work for you if you have to restore lost profiles. And you can install a data back up app on your phone. They have them in BB App world.
