Thread: TiVo for BlackBerry now available!

It has been known for awhile now that there would be a TiVo application for our beloved BlackBerries. Well, finally it has came! Research In Motion has just officially announced it has been released! The application has many features incorporated to make it a well running application. Features include:

• Browse television shows available on TiVo® service
• Configure TiVo for BlackBerry smartphones to select from a list of available TiVo Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) wirelessly using the BlackBerry smartphone.
• Record television shows to be viewed at a later time
• Set 1-Click recording options
• Get a Seasons Pass™ to a television show
• Search the programming guide based on show title, actor, director, keywords, and category
• View recommended television shows based on current searches

Awesome....! Any idea if this is 5.0 compatible?

I just sent the Directv people the link . Since they seem to be having trouble with getting ther app to work and they have a contract with Tivo (yes there is a new HD Tivo coming). Saying here look now may I have my app please. Thanks Tivo or RIM for getting this done.

Outstanding! Can't wait to get rid of these old R-10's and upgrade when the new Tivo/Driectv receivers come out.

Off topic but why not te HRxx....it's come a long way since it was first released. Including DLB and network ability mrv and yes the IPhone has an Directv app. Just like the Tivo app :no:. Still none for the Blackberry though. FWIW anyone with Sunday Ticket and SF there is a Blackberry app for that. Yes it is 5.0 compatible cause I used it on sunday :cool2:.

It has been a heated debate in my house for a long time now :banghead: the wife likes the ease of the all in one unit versus the separate tivo box. I even upgraded to HD directv receiver, my wife used it for a day and made me pay to take it all back out again. She love the ease and look of the tivo

Some people like the UI. I underatand that. Well thanks for posting this. I have been ragging at them for months over an app for Blackberry. One of the Directv people said to me recently Storm2 is " a whole different issue" making me think they are working on it. It's just slow like always :no:,
