So curiousity, anyone else having this issue? I keep getting Uncaught exception Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (xxx) is not responding process terminated when syncing contacts, I haven't tried calendar entries yet, but I get that for some reason with 5.0.0.190

Are you familiar with using Google sync..For some reason, it doesnt seem to update info quick enuff. I signed up for Gmail but when I did dome adjustments to my contacts and calendar on my pc, I ran google sync on Device but no changes were made...Is there a tutorial somewhere?

It should update instantly to your Google Calendar or contacts, mine does.
Did you select to "Sync now" ?

Launch Google sync and press your bb button, then options and make sure that contacts and calender are both checked

I did a reinstall of the Google sync software was able to sync calendars with no issues, but I seem to only have problems with syncing the contacts........always that same error...

Thank you so much for this app - 230 is an awesome OS but worthless to me without Google Sync.

Okay it worked once I changed the options to NOT sync my contacts. This is a huge improvement and THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO much!

Now my question: on my old BB (World Edition) when I sync'ed my calendar, it would sync the calendars that I had merged to my account. Hope that makes sense.

Anyway, the merged calendars no long show up with this version of BB (9550-Storm 2).

Help! I'll take any ideas you have...I need that other calendar on my BB!

If you mean you have multiple on google calendar, then go into google sync on the phone, options, and then calendars to sync with, then make sure you have all the right ones on there

Yep thats exactly what I mean! Trouble is that the other calendar isn't listed there...how do I get it listed there?

if you log on on google on the PC is it there? It has to be listed and in with google calendar to get google sync to list it.. if it is you may want to sync and then try the options again

Yep it is visible on my PC. I even re-started the phone to make sure that it wasnt something simple like a re-boot.

Thanks for the idea. If you have any others, I would love to try them out!

GOT IT! Thanks...didnt know that when I went to options-->sync these calendars
that I had to press on it to get my other calendar options to open in another page!

ohh sorry thats the part alot ppl dont catch meant to say that to you but at least you got it!!!

tbh i've never had an issue downloading it OTA.

tried it, but never get this app to work properly, it always fails midway. but the ability to set your g-mail account so that it syncs your contact, beats the use for this app doesn't it?
