Thread: Audible and .230

I have .230 and I listen to audio books on Audible (Audible.com app) but it only plays about 15 seconds and then the audio stops but the timer indicates that it is still playing. I have modified the compatibility settings, deleted it, batt pull and reinstalled, but no change. I realize that many do not use this app, but I thought I would at least post it. Has anyone found a workaround or can you help? Audible is really slow with coming out with updates to their apps.

I am trying to avoid having to put my fire resistant suit on, just to post this at CB also!!

While I have never tried this program I have recently found the need to listen to some audio books for school. What I have been doing is just downloading the mp3 file and loading it up and listening that way. I know it kinda defeats the purpose of the program your asking about, but if all else fails....

Hopefully someone has found a work around so I don't have to do the download thing anymore.

Thanks Rellims...but Audible prides itself on securing the audio/book files. They are not mp3 or mp4 files, but are .aa files which can not be converted to other audio files...at least, not that I have found.

What kind of books are you looking for, if you don't mind me asking?

Mainly fiction. I have a monthly subscription for $12.99 for 1 book a month...Last week I got Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol and Tony Dungee's new book Uncommon: Finding Your Path to Significance We have a great library here but not all books that I want are available on CD. If they are, I import them into iTunes and copy to my bb...it is slow. Once I am done, I then delete the book from both.

I have had similar problems with the audio on .230 from what I understand it is just the OS. If you really want to get that app running smoothly I would recommend running something else besides .230, hopefully they will just update the app soon.
