Thread: Facebook App now working on .230

Ok... Relatively new crackberry addict here... Just upgraded to 5.0.0.238 on my bold. I fully deleted facebook before doing the upgrade. Upgrade worked fine, then i re-downloaded the fb app, and nothing but trouble... All pokes, comments, etc that i send out work fine. Nothing comes in at all. I have to go to the mobile site to see any of it. Ive deleted and reinstalled multiple times, battery pulled multiple times, tried both 1.6.0.22 and 1.6.0.26, and tried sandman1987's fix, all with the same issues... HELP!!!!!

Where are you getting the OTA for facebook. Have you tried downloading directly from blackberry?

I remember when this patch first came out some of the OTA's were not working.

Got the OTA direct from BB AppWorld... Tried setting application permissions to all allow, and still no luck

Weird what about the launcher in your application folder? The one pushed by your carrier.

I'll ask some other bold owners who are running FB and see if it works for them.

There was no launcher pushed by my carrier... AT&T. Ive "unhidden" all icons, and nothing there.

One of our moderators has a bold and he states that it is not working on his 9000 and that it's a issue with FB themselves.

Sorry I couldn't offer better news

At leats i know im not going nuts... It worked fine on my old OS4.6... seems odd it stopped right after the upgrade...

I would imagine it's a compatibility issue with the new 5.0 releases. hope fully they release the rumored 1.7 version soon.

Any ideas on a releast date for it? I havent seen any rumors or whispers...
