Can someone help? How do I delete a visual bookmark on my Storm? I really like the browser, but I can't seem to determine how to delete, change or even move a bookmark. Please help.
Thank you in advance.
I'm actually pretty excited about this because Opera Mini is almost the only 3rd-party app that I use, and they have usually been dreadfully silent about updates. I downloaded the beta just now but haven't tried it yet on my Storm. I've been beginning to become fed up with retyping my search queries on my Storm if it fails to connect. I'm eager to use a version with some more touchscreen support.
First finding: On the 9530 (126.96.36.199), hitting backspace in the search field deletes the entire field. Opera thinks I am holding down the backspace key.
Menu hardware button brings up the mouse cursor. All menus are through the touchscreen. This means no copy/pasting addresses. (edit: just hold your finger down)
I can't figure out how to get back to the address bar after I've touched the search bar.
Good: All the pictures on a page load up. It doesn't have that awfully small limit for how much picture data it will download.
Maybe this would be more compatible if I had a 4.7 OS installed.
There is probably no way to exit if compatibility mode is enabled. Without compatibility mode, you can exit through the touchscreen menu.
I am using this on the Blackberry Bold (Hybrid) and its working like a charm. This is exactly the way browsing was meant to be. I love the home page bookmarks, tabs, saving of passwords, and its speed. This will definitely the way we should be browsing.

Trackball models: put the cursor over the any of the speed dial bookmarks, push and hold the trackball till you see the pop up asking to edit or delete.
To paste use same process while typing till you see the option to copy or paste.
Ps I got rid of it beacuse of the too many errors on my event log, those errors lead to random re boots.
i love the virtual keyboard built in...completly touch, no surepress
While it's about time Opera came out with an update, I am disappointed this is the end result.
Speed times have decreased significantly IMO, no BB button for Storm users is somewhat odd, and it just seems as though there are more steps involved in daily operation than I care for. But what really is a bummer is the speed. My BB browser is quickers and renders pictures better than this.
And as E pointed out, I am getting a ton of errors in my event log. Some may really like the version, I'm just not feeling it.
I was happy for a moment when I saw that there was an "inline editing" option that I could turn off, because I thought it might bring up blank white screens to type in, like opera 4.2, so that I might be able to copy/paste. The option doesn't seem to do anything at all, unfortunately.
Http is enabled by default, rather than Socket. To make a long story short, Socket is faster. Has anyone else had trouble after you chose Socket? I haven't had it long enough to be able to tell. (edit: Socket doesn't work at all)

Don't worry J the useless function for the menu button is also for the trackball devices, about tabbed browsing is easy to navigate to the tabs using the BB browser than opera.
Hopefully they will see the light and will come with a better version soon.
If they don't is just a big FAIL
So far I like the flick scrolling and the tab browsing, also like the speed and loading of the pages. Virtual keyboard is awsome with the ghost typing. But I'm having problems with cut and paste and navigating to the start page from a site and back button...It's beta but works with my 5.0(.140)

the scrollbar on the right no longer responds to touch. this is so bad because i like to drag it around. this makes it require more effort to reach the bottom of the page. it capitalizes passwords.... i have no way of hitting return in this text box right now.
I think you can just try any link. :)Quote:

It took me a little while to discover this. I found out touching and holding worked after I tried it on the speed dial page to get rid of the 3 default shortcuts.
Thanks Olta!!! I followed Yours and Randy's instructions and it works for me now!!
