Thread: Sports Illustrated App now available

Well, Gone are the days of having to use that SI mobile launcher. Yep, SI has put out a full fledged BlackBerry App. Feed your sports addiction and get the the latest news, rumors, scores & standings right from your BlackBerry screen. Oh yeah, and of course all the fantastic photos that SI has become famous for. Other features include personalization options that allow you to customize the app to follow only the sports you want. Also, there is a text only option that eliminates images for super fast sports info navigation.

The SI App is available in the BlackBerry App World right now.

Great find!! just downloaded it.. nice to customize only the sports you want to see. Looks as though you can get final scores and maybe updates as games are played but there are no games right now. The only downside I have found is that you can not set favorite teams or players.. Hope to see it in the future but very cool free app!!!!

Looks like a no go on 5.0. Got the java error

A battery pull fixed it. Works fine on my 9530 running 5.0.0.191

sorry man.. I dont have many apps but need my camera and love BBM 5.0 so i couldnt stick with .191 no matter how bad I wanted to

When he gets that you may want to update the OP with the info here about Batt pull and viola

The OTA has been added to the Original Post, and this is one sweet program. Runs fantastic on .191. Did not do a batt pull but its never a bad idea to do one.

The sports illustrated application is amazing. It is compatible with the storm and 191 as well. I am running it right now!!

I love this app. Looks like I won't ever have to go to the espn site on my browser anymore. Btw, thanks for the OTA

Works fine with OS 5.0 except it is a little slow when trying to close out the app, like a 45 second delay lol

While downloading OTA i get error says its a zip file. Any help?
