    After running enterprise activation the FB settings are greyed out again. So there must be something in the BES preventing this feature. This is getting above my pay grade so it looks like I'll do without this feature.

    Wow that sux! I can't tell you much more from here since I've never used BES. Hope you get it worked out somehow

    SUCCESS!!!!!! After our discussions earlier I did a search and found a website that provided instructions on how to solve my problem. here is the link...

    How to control Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones 1.6 organizer data access - Airtime Manager Mobile Data Forum

    In a nutshell, BES users must import an IT policy that will allow the organizer data access for social networking sites. Once the policy is imported, go into whatever IT policy is in use and find "disable organizer data access for social networking sites" and change the setting to false. Resend the IT policy and do a battery pull. Now calendar and contact applications work correctly.
