In a nutshell, BES users must import an IT policy that will allow the organizer data access for social networking sites. Once the policy is imported, go into whatever IT policy is in use and find "disable organizer data access for social networking sites" and change the setting to false. Resend the IT policy and do a battery pull. Now calendar and contact applications work correctly.
