Has anyone gotten google talk to work with .191?

Has anyone gotten Google talk to work with 5.0.0.191 for either the Tour or Storm? I know I had to manually load the .cod's for Google Sync in order to get it working. I don't use Google Talk so I don't have the .cod's to mess around with. I thought I remember someone on here stating someone finally did get it to work, but I can't find the post at:

Thanks any help would be appreciated

I might be wrong but there's no support for 5.0 on the rim IM clients yet, again I might be wrong

    bryan,

in this thread: here someone states that if you dont shrink that the im is actually the app versus the launchers to the download site we are used to. i dunno, i havent upgraded but... worth reading i guess.

Somehow when you put the resource file from google it won't stay? I think mostly what I have read is though it comes with the OS release I have not seen anyone with a Tour get it work. Seems like Storm users only.

I also would love to get Google Talk installed on my .191 Storm. From the videos,

Yes, I can use the new hybrid from Lyricidal but since I am on AT&T, I have to take those steps to get browser & MMS working, and with .140 I will get the media error.

Sorry... I guess I can't read today. Paying attention to football... Don't actually know about Google Talk.

I did the OTA from m.google.com/voice a couple days ago and it works for me. Just tried it before posting. Using the 9530 with 5.0.0.191.

i'm running .191 on my storm and i have google talk and aim installed, both version 2.5.20 and they come with the .191 OS. I think the problem is that you restored your apps and installed the older version...this is the same problem i had before, but i got it working with a clean install of the OS.

Okay, I figured out how to get Google Maps installed with .191. Here is what I did:
    1. I wiped my Storm
    2. Removed vendor.xml with CrackMem and nothing else
    3. Reinstalled .191 but selected Google Talk to be installed.
    4. I now have Google Talk up and RUNNING!
