Turn BlueTooth into Mouse Keyboard

New to BB OS & to Bluetooth

I've been googling pc to BB BT adapters since I stumbled upon this app on Friday & was surprised to find that there's not a whole lot of info on this subject. General sense I came away w/from my search is that drivers seem problematic. Some mentioned that a BB requires you to use default toshiba drivers that apparently come with all BT adapters & reject the plug-in win drivers b/c they may conflict. It also seems not all adapters have A2DP which is apparently necessary to stream stereo to PC and make sure you get the latest BT profile 2.1 and that its usb 2.0 b/c they are supposedly backwards compatible. Long story short is that I ordered one earlier today. I chose it b/c its reviews seem to indicate users had good experiences with the 8100. I'm still a rookie when it comes to BT but I thought this post would gear fellow rookies faster in the right direction than it took me. I'll post my thoughts on it & how it works w/this app in about a week once received via snail mail. -- Guys which adapters were you able to use successfully or do you have BT built into your pc/laptop? I have it working with an old 8830we. But from what I understand, the storm is not happy with it.

I loaded it today. Werks great with my 9530. Even freaked my wife out with it. The ghost mouse.... scarry lmao. Might be in the doghouse for a bit with that one.

Wow fuzzie how did you pull that off. My Storm seems angry with this :)

Picked up this app a few months ago. Non bluetooth PC, fixed that quickly with a $20 dongle. I now use this app constantly to use my BB as a remote when watching movies on my PC. Running on a Storm, only plays nice with compatibility mode enabled. Not a huge setback for what I use it for.

As for the drivers, simply using standard windows drivers automatically installed when the dongle is first connected.

i cant get the thing to connect for the life of me! it will connect for a second then poop out, i always get "No paired bluctrol servers found :(

what issues are you having? i get it to connect, and ask for a passkey, blue led flashes like twice then poop... bb says there is no server set up, i even set bluctrl as a side key to try to get it open quick enough. hmph

I installed mine had it working and now for some reason I keep getting "receiver has stopped working".....not to sure about this program that I showed everyone....it is a little buggy.

Quick question for you, have you granted your PC trusted status on your device? I ask because you mention entering a passkey. Make sure you edit the pairing to always accept connections without prompting. Otherwise, the app seems to time out the connection very quickly.
