Hi Guys & Gals
Tried the program on my home course on Wednesday and it worked well. The interface was smooth and accuracy was acceptable. Had a friend with a Sky Caddie and we were within a yd or so most of the time when we measured from the same spot. Didn't experience any drop offs under trees etc. (I'm never in the trees anyway...HA! I wish)). All in all I think it's an inexpensive way to have a range finder on your phone. Tracks shots and measures club distances and keeps your score. These use more battery but it's up to you if you don't want to use them.
I have bought the subscription. What the heck? I've spent $40 on a lot of things that weren't nearly as useful.
For conserving battery make sure you turn off Bluetooth. I used about 30% in a 4 1/2 hour round of 18 holes.
Anyone else that's tried it please post your findings. :cool2:
Tried it myself last week on my Tour. I must say my friends and I were very impressed. We took into consideration it may be off by a yard or two but to gives you th basics Yards to the front, center and back of the green. For $40 I dont think you are going to find better deal. The only down side it does not give you pin distance but then again it would make a difference in our games.
Make sure you are fully charged before your round . We finished in 4 1/2 hr round with 50% battery left. Please note I was on a links course so reception was good. This weekend I will be trying it out on a Parkland course so I am curious to see if it holds onto the signal after reading some of the above posts.

I finally decided to use my free trial on my Storm today at a golf tournament and it worked and looked great. It had rained all morning and was very overcast but I never had a dropped signal. The yardages were spot on... there were maybe 4 holes where I was standing on the 100-150yd mark and it would be off 1-2yds from center. Great App will definitely purchase!
Yeah. It's not a bad deal. I used it again all weekend (3 rounds) and it was great. Not real fond of the stats feature and found it worked better without. It definitely was faster and seemed more accurate for some reason if I don't turn on the stats feature.:yo:

I'm happy with the purchase.
