CrunchGear reported Yelp has release their highly anticipated application for Blackberry. Yelp has released 3 versions for the iPhone, prior to this release for Blackberry. So, what are the differences between the the apps? To start, the Blackberry app does not have as many features, but Yelp has said they will continue to add features with future versions. Also, the Blackberry application uses Bling technology rather than Google Maps. Bling's map tile access is the key for the movable maps on this app, which is why it was chosen over Google Maps.
For those of you who are not familiar with Yelp, it is basically a social network for foodies. You can search restaurants, rate and write reviews, invites friends, and much more. I downloaded the app and for those of you who use Poynt, it seems to be very similar.
To download your copy point your blackberry browser here.
