Thread: How to watch videos from UberTwitter?

When I click on a video that someone has posted on UberTwitter I cannot watch it? Is there a setting I need to change?

Is it a video they uploaded using twitvid?

Yes but I have also tried to view other videos from their blogs before twitvid came out.

If you click the link or the actual video still it should give you the option to "get link" select that and it will take you to another page where you have options to play the video in low res or high res

I go to the link but when I click on the video nothing happens?

Hmm send me the link through twitter and let me see what I can come up with, if you don't mind

Sorry but for some reason on UberTwitter it will not let me go back and load more tweets from previous tweets. In fact 15hrs ago is the as far back as it will go. I just loaded V8.5 this morning so don't know what's going on with that.

Let me get my phone booted up and I will post some screenies for you and hopefully that will help you out

Just in case here is a quickie walk through

Here is the tweet with the attached video



Now you can either click the link or click the picture itself and you will get the bb menu, click the get link option



The BB Browser will launch and pull up this screen. From here you can click the low res or high res option



Once you click hi res or low res you will get this screen. I usually click open unless I want to save the video for some reason



Once you select open it will launch the media and play the video

Is your browser set to Blackberry, IE, or Firefox on your phone options??

It might not work if you have it set to the Blackberry browser...

If the other ones are flash media then it wont work no matter how hard you try. But twitvid changed their format recently so it should work on the BB.

I switched from Foxfire to BB browser and it worked! I wonder why Firefox would not play it?

Because the site thought you were using Firefox, on a PC, and not a mobile phone. That's why changing it to BlackBerry worked. The site recognized you were using a mobile phone and offered content accordingly.
