Thread: Bbsak 1.5 won't connect to phone

I cannot get it to connect to my phone. It just keeps saying "no device connected, push OK to continue" when I try to open it. Then I hit OK, and the program opens only to give me the option of Connect or Kill Processes. When I try to connect, nothing happens.

My phone connects to DM and everything else without any problems.

Any ideas?

Nevermind. I rebotted phone and computer...and it worked.

What OS are you running on your PC? Also when you downloaded 1.5 did you have a previous version installed on your PC?

I am running BBSAK v1.5 and when I try to load a COD it says Unhandled Exception has occured in your application. Method not found: 'System.StringSystem.Windows.Forms.OpenFileDialog. get_SafeFileName()'.

Anyone seen this before? I'm going to reinstall BBSAK to see if that works, but everything else in BBSAK seems to be working without errors.

Haven't seen that before. Could try and updating Windows...

Mine would not wipe my device...restart of PC solved it.

Is the function of restoring the 3rd party apps still there? I didn't see it in 1.5

I am having the same issues as the OP. I just installed Windows 7 Pro and DM detects my Storm perfectly fine. But every time I open BBSAK 1.5 I get the no device detected message. Any suggestions?

unplug and replug your phone in while bbsak is running. press connect, if it does not recognize try the same process over again until it does. I have the same issue many times before.

I got a ? 4 u...I have two apps in my "add-on" screen that I do not know what they do nor if I need them. 1 is "b message/version 5.0.0.191" and 2nd is "MAP/version 5.0.0.191". I want to delete them if I do not need them to gain memory. I have the same OS setup as you "FLAWLESS" btw..lemme know

Not to sure what to say, but to reboot your computer. I have not had that problems with that quick fix before. Wish I could have been more help.

I also rebooted both my PC and my storm and for whatever reason BBSAK 1.5 still won't recognize my phone. Not sure what else to do.

Does it work fine with Desktop Manager?

Yeah DM will recognize my BB without any issues.

How strange. Do you have the latest windows updates? Might be something else to try if you don't.

I just check my Windows updates and everything is up to date. I'm not sure what else to do.

What version of windows are you running on your PC? Also what version of DM?

I am running Windows 7 Pro and I have DM5 which I downloaded from RIMs website. In the meantime I'll have to go back to jl_cmder.
