Thread: Quicklaunch updated to 2.12

Just got an email from QL saying they have updated the app again. Here are the new additions;

Stay Lit
This will allow you to keep the backlight on. Good for reading or when using maps etc.
(similar in function to BBLight and other apps like that)

Bluetooth Toggle
Turn your bluetooth radio on or off
When you add this function via Add Application you will see an entry field labeled "Paramater" and the default values are automatically filled in.
The first number, 5, refers to the position that the 'Bluetooth' section is located on your Blackberry Options screen. For example '1' would be 'About' and 2 would be 'Advanced' on most phones.
The second number, 1, refers to what position 'Enable / Disable Bluetooth' is located on the Bluetooth Options pages if you hit the menu key. So to get this number go to your Options screen, select Bluetooth then the menu key and note the position from the top that 'Enable Bluetooth' appears in the menu.

GPS Config Shortcut
Jump to the GPS Config page to quickly turn on or off the GPS radio.
This feature works the same as the Bluetooth Toggle feature above.
The parameter that needs to be configured also consists of 2 numbers in the following format: n1,n2
where n1 = the location that 'Advanced' appears on the Blackberry Options screen and
n2 = the location that 'GPS' appears unde! r that A dvanced options.

Radio Toggle
Turn your radios on / off

Supports BBTask Pro app

Alternate Weather Connection option
If the weather was not showing up for you try enabling this option in QL Options

Great features added in this upgrade IMO can't wait to download it and try her out

This is great. With Every upgrade with his new features, I need uninstall some apps, in that way I can save some MB. For me, this is an app that everybody must to have. The most functional app

If you own a Storm (which it shows you do), then the answer is yes. For the price, the function is just way too good. It's the one app that always gets a front seat in my icons or a hot button depending on the theme I'm using.

I manage a team of about 28 people, each with different job titles. QL allows me to setup a subdirectory for Phone#, then under there a sub for each job title, so it's easy for me to drill down to who I need based on what they do. This is just one example. I can also one click to add an appointment or task or contact without first opening up the app.

Can you do without it, sure you can. Would I want to, no way. QL makes the Storm so much easier and way more functional, what more can I say.

I've deleted a few apps since I've gotten quicklaunch. With every update an app gets deleted. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. IMHO

Sent Nikkisoft an email about implementing "stay lit" into system menu to avoid unnecessary button presses & they replied that it will be in the next update. Also said there will be another update today for bug fixes.

umm...... where might i find this update ? should appworld update automatically ? they still show 2.10

great update BUT on the tour the icon is bigger then normal. It sucks because I bought the tour upgrade to get rid of the larger icon last update :lmao:

Gps toggle rules. Quick launch is by far the best app I have bought for my storm. Helps me to have super quick access to my co workers and the people I call most plus makes my life easier as I can click less. nice!

Nope no 5.0 for the Tour

Did anyone get the Bluetooth toggle to work? Setting it at the default 5,1. It crashes/freezes my phone for a bit then I can't use QL anymore. Also get some error stating QL tried to change or access something that it was not allowed to.

Have you set QL permission to allow for all of them?
