Usage instructions:
Please be reminded that this is a VERY EARLY beta version. Though it has gone through extensive testing, we can NOT guarantee data integrity. This is how you should use the application:
1. Install the application (see below).
2. Open the app by clicking the icon.
3. Click the "Backup" button, select a name and click "Backup" again.
4. All contacts are backed up to the file system now. The device might be non-responsive for some minutes. (Depending on the size of your address book)
5. Optional: If you want to move the contents to another device --- Copy the directory "/Media Card/<name you entered in 3>" to another device's SD card at "/Media Card/"
6. Start DataBackup on that device and click "Restore".
7. All data from the backup is restored to our address book. The device might be non-responsive for a while as well.

I registered but nothing has been sent to me like a link to download the S4BB.

0.0.3 is the latest, shows a progression bar during the backup process. it is also device specific, files to be restored must be from the originating device.

Does this back up everything from the contact? I.E. Email addy, pin, etc. Or is it just the name and number?

I don't know. I have not yet had the opportunity nor the need to use the program yet. I just received 0.3 last night, it now includes the option for memo backup. The files are saved as csv files on the card, my assumption would be that all the data would be included. Give me a few min and I'll see what i can find out.

Emailed the developer, let you know as soon as I receive a reply.
