Blackberry App World update notify icon

I just saw a new icon where my msg icons would've been and couldn't figure out what it was but it looked strangely familiar and finally figured out it was for App World. It was letting me know there was an update to Viigo. I thought that was cool. I didn't realized it checks even though App World wasn't running in the background... or at least I don't think it was... maybe even if the App World app is not running, there's another process that's still up and running checking updates... :bigeyes: could be the reason for some memory leak... :rolleyes:

Very interesting? That may be the reason this has been such a leaker for a lot of people

yeah I noticed that icon a while back. It was an update to Patternlock. Took me a while to figure out what the heck it was :lmao:

My icon is stuck even though I updated Viigo... I can't get rid of it... help!

Have you tried a battery pull or deleting/reinstalling the app? :)

Yup, tried both. First battery pull... didn't work... the uninstalled App World... icon went away... reinstalled it... then it came right back... haha :rolleyes:

We need some 5.0 love from app world soon

Sigh... i'm OCD and this is irking me so I'm going to wipe and reinstall v8.... haha
