“What’s Up?” How often do you ask that question a day? What if you didn’t have to ask it? Imagine just being able to look at a contact and know what they are doing. With this “smarter Address Book” you still be able to do just that! WhatsApp is a unique application that allows you to create a status so people can know what you are doing.This will only work with other users who have the application, however, so the more people that use it the better.

This is a really neat application and after using it, one can’t help but desire the native Blackberry Address Book to be able to incorporate this feature. So for now if you would like to use this tool then you have motivation to get your friends into it too. This can easily be done with the “Tell a Friend” feature. When they complain about having to buy the application just simply explain to them that it is free!

This reminds me a little of twitter, only in that the messages from your friends pop up on your screen. The question becomes, why use this over Twitter?

I think this app is really appropriate for teenagers who are looking for something to do :D

It would annoy me for sure, cause I already got things to do :D :D :D

you can turn off the popup status change notifications (under Settings) and simply use it as an address book with status:

i get that question a lot. the "how is this different from twitter" question. let me ask you this: would you ever use twitter for things such as

- "in meetings all day, call me after 6pm"
- "batter is low, call my office @ 408-555-1212"
- "out of the country for a week, you can reach me on my paris number"

i think twitter is great (hey, how else can you know what ashton kutcher is eating for breakfast), but the idea behind our app is different from twitter... while twitter is more like a group chat, whatsapp is more of a status indicator.

I am there with J too... I am trying obsessively to get people to use it, to no avail... But some one once told me persistence pays off.. lol. And Welcome to BBOS WhatsApp.
