kayak, a site that helps you search for flights and such has a blackberry app which is really, a very simple, easy to use, and helpful tool.
you can check flight status, search for cheap flights, as well as hotels, and a buzz feature which i find cool...the buzz tells the trend of prices for a certain flight path (boston to chicago for example)
some cool things with the search for flights feature is the ability to filter by airline, stops, and where you could stop; sort by cheapest, shortest, and soonest; and in my eyes the best feature, is to call directly from the app to the site offering that flight, ie orbitz, or the airline itself.
the hotel search gives you an address, a rating out of 5 stars, and the cheapest price directly in the search field. you can obviously sort by price, stars, etc but the cool thing is when you click view details, it gives you the prices from a variety of websites and allows you to choose which you would want to book from and gives you their website and phone, as well as the hotels phone number which can be very useful.
it also has a directory of every airline with their webpage address and phone number allowing you to call or go to their site directly from the app!
im really surprised i havent seen this app mentioned anywhere but i have to say, this could be a very essential, free app for any traveler!
