Someone seems to have gotten into my Twitter account and posted something from me:
RT @Gordtm: Up to $240.30 so far today!!! i'll tweet another update later!!
How does this happen and what can I do to stop it?

Quite easily. If you are signed into Twitter, any web site you go to could execute code to send a Tweet from your account. It is also pretty easily to exploit Twitter in other ways. Not much you can do about it other than to stay signed out if you aren't using Twitter. Another way if you are using Firefox is to use the NoScript addon to block javascript on sites that you haven't whitelisted.
