Did a battery pull and still get the same error on multiple tries. Re-downloaded and installed and that did not help either.

Well reloaded the hybrid OS with v3 and now skyfire loads but has intermittent connections issues.

Will look forward to a beta release.

Make sure the permissions for the app are set to allow. I had success using the epc.tmobile.com APN. The loading bar is a good sign that a request is being sent. Maybe the signal is just too weak. You could try over wifi.

I've never tried using epc.tmobile.com as the APN while tethering. If you try it, let me know how it goes.

You can no longer use Skyfire. They knew about the leak and now have closed the beta testing. Since the leak caused them to remove the beta testing and that the actual site where this leak was originated from has removed all, we are removing this thread as well.

Unfortunately, the Skyfire BlackBerry Alpha was leaked and we temporarily halted our private Alpha program. We’ve been working with a small group of Bold users under NDA during this dev phase and we have the feedback we need at this point. We do appreciate all of the interest so stay tuned as we work to bring more users and devices into the Skyfire Private Alpha program.

The only feature that works right now is a predictive autocomplete when I am entering a URL. It is pretty handy. I am looking forward to this browser, because BB browser is miserable, and Opera Mini is too barebones for some sites.
