Developers jumping on board with 5.0

just FYI i am still slowly adding my apps back after installing 5.0os and getting the bugs worked out...primarily figuring out that my custom theme was causing most of my problems. while loading some of my apps back i noticed that a couple of them from empower showed the option to download the version for 5.0. although it was in the same list/download with 4.7 it shows that the developers are hot on the trail of making everything compatible with the upcoming 5.0 releases.

That is outstanding news for us who have decided to stick it out Cat. I have always held the opinion that these developers would be chomping at the bit to push updates to their apps.

great news cat. I plan on sticking it out too. My phone is working beautifully, but would definately be interested in getting some of my apps back. Thanks for the update!

just curious...what apps are you still having trouble with? about the only ones i am is QP and the reset on MB. i haven't loaded PDstart yet...i was having trouble with it before but it could have been due to the theme also.i'll try it later today.

Quickpull and Meterberry are the two I am having difficulties with. I did not have 30 applications on my phone like some, but the ones I do run have had no problem, besides the two that I mentioned previously. I have not reloaded my "caption" voice to text email yet, so I will try that now and get back to you.

Mine would be the QP. I had that scheduled for daily pulls however...
I bet the other app would be Facebook. I don't use it but I just might now. Seems to be some big hype around this app.

ahh yeah i forgot about FB...i don't use it enough to need the mobile app.i did however use the windows live(msn chat)which doesn't work either.i can live without it though.

Facebook is pretty popular and I believe that there is an update for people looking to use it on 5.0.0.140.

And Cat...."Caption" voice to text email does work on the 5.0. This program has been great although there is a fee to pay for transcription and air time.

By the way, our app works completely on data plan (no phone line required) -- your recorded audio is sent over HTTP or HTTPS. So your air time charges would apply only if you are paying for data by the usage. Many of us have unlimited data plans, and so no extra air time charges apply.
