SocialScope versus Uber Twitter
I just got my invite to alpha test SocialScopeLite :)
It just blows away Uber Twitter, Here is a brief rundown of the SocialScope application:

Just Twitter
Just Facebook
A big advantage for me is the combination of Twitter and Facebook, you can post separately to either one or both at the same time.
Options:
1. Search Twitter
2. View your profile on either Facebook or twitter
3. View profile of user:

4. Link a Twitter user to one of your Blackberry contacts
5. Spell check ability on posting updates (Handy)
All in all, I find the user interface smoother than Uber Twitter and the appearance is more appealing.
Hope this helps, I'll be keeping SocialScope for awhile, but will definitely have to try Tweeteev when it comes out.
If you want to try it, just keep bugging them with tweets and requests until they get sick of you and send you an invite :)
p.s. Looks like I picked the wrong User to follow for this forum, but I wanted to display the top bar and he was the last updated twitter, sorry. No offence intended :)
SocialScope v Ubertwitter
Hi all,
I've been lucky enough to have been using SocialScope for a few months now - it truly is a slick bit of software - a quantum leap forward from Twitterberry!
I love the tabbed layout - the UI is very slick indeed. You can supply feedback and their support team etc are very friendly.
I do like the Facebook/Twitter integration aspect but, oddly, I still prefer to cross post to Facebook via the #FB hashtag method.
Ubertwitter is also installed on my 8900 (i use it for my corporate account) and it is also a great (in comparison to awful TwitterBerry) but the UI is no where near as polished.
Ubertwitter does seem to have additional features to update your location with GPS and to do easy tweet searches for people near you as well as a useful shortcut into trending topics. I've sent these as requests to SocialScope.
SocialScope is supposedly due to come out of closed testing soon AND i believe it may handle multiple twitter accounts as well (which would be great for me). There is certainly a big upgrade due.
All in all SocialScope is a killer bit of software and (and this is quite an interesting thing to say in light of our changing BB usage habits) it is the software I use the most on my BB - waaaay ahead of email.
Joel
p.s. Ubertwitter and Socialscope do seem to get confused sometimes when you follow from one account and it puts you into the other application - some menu problem somewhere. Not a show stopper though and easily avoided if SocialScope becomes multi account.
