Question Opera browser... is it really a must have?

So the storm is my first BB... so im new to actually having choices when i use my phone for more than calls. I've heard so much bout this Opera browser... but is it really all that? I use the default browser quite frequently, so would Opera be something worth using or is it just another browser?

I know this topic has been hacked to death in other forums, but im lookin for some more strait fwd real user opinions here.( unlike the typical " go use it and find out!" answers ive gotten elsewhere) Thanx...

Opera is a very nice browser, it does a little bit more than the regular one that comes with the BB, and I think it is a bit faster on websites and stuff.

But I mean all I can say is give it a try and if you don’t seem to like then go back to the Default or you could try Bolt

Here are some reviews that you can take a look at

    Opera: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1979888,00.asp

    Bolt: http://wapreview.com/blog/?p=2598

I didn't like it had it on my helio ocean used it all the time but it didn't seem to work very well with the storm mabye better in later relases. The bolt browser is better when going to crackberrs site it take forevet to load sometimes not at all with bb browser but pretty quick with bolt browser. Other web sites very quick much faster than bb browser. Hope that helped.

I've had Bolt for about 3 months now and its ok if you want a full web page, loads pretty fast but is touchy not exactly setup yet for the storm, i just installed Opera on mine also to see which one i likee better.... Not sure both run a little differently. I would recommend putting both on and testing them together. neither of them take up much space and you can delete the one you dont like. Not sure which one i am going to get rid of yet.!!!!!!

i dont like the opera mini. love the browser for my pc. but on the storm i liked the way the bb browser is. for example in bb browser when u click a link in the "pan mode", i hate the cursor mode, but when you just touch the screen it will highlight the link your on, works good to no what your actually going to click, but then you click the screen to go to it....in oprea you just touch the screen and not click to go to link...i think opera is a little faster, it also seems a little smoother but all in all I like the bb browser better

I tried them both - just deleted them both off my BB. Seems just having them installed (not even open) made the connections from the BB browser, Facebook, and Weatherbug like 10 times slower. They're all back to normal now that I got rid of the other 2.

-Too bad, Opera was really fast.
