Thread: Silent Foto For Blackberry Smartphones Available For Free In App World

Annoyed with the shutter sound of the camera on your BlackBerry device? I have good news for you, S4BB Limited just released their brand new app which will provide a spontaneous picture taking experience without the shutter sound. They have launched their new app called Silent Foto that gets rid of the shutter sound when taking pictures anywhere you go.

I have been searching for an app that can turn off the shutter sound of the camera, but could not find a better one until this new app was released. This app is really easy to use and you can spontaneously take pictures without any sound at all. Yes, this is absolutely for FREE to everyone that has OS 6 devices and up.

There are a few things I noticed after using this cool app and the first one is that there is no preview option after taking pictures. You will have to go to the picture gallery of your device in order to see the pictures you have taken which I think give the users the hassle checking it and decide whether to save it or not.

Also, I have seen reviews and comments saying that the app should have had the mute/umute button. For me, mute/unmute button is not necessary at all as this app is intended to make sure that the shutter sound is not inadvertently played when taking a picture.

Overall, it is another great creation of S4BB! If you love taking pictures and would want to get rid of the shutter sound, then try this app. I know that there are a lot of things need to improve on this app but what else can you ask for aside from its free and easy to use. I am pretty sure that all our comments and reviews would mean a lot to S4BB to update it and to make it a very awesome and competitive app in the future.

I was not able to see that myself as I think I relied on how the camera of my device works..

And that's interesting! Great!

I'm using 9790.
And, I noticed that this app use the SCREEN RESOLUTION to take pict
which is low resolution compared to BB Camera app.
Also, somehow it didn't activate flash when I took pict at night.
thus, as soon as I installed it, I delete...

Perhaps other members have different experiences than mine..

When I heard about this app, I thought it may have the same features as my current purchased app, called Silent Camera, available from BlackBerry App World.

The difference between my installed Silent Camera, and this newly released BlackBerry application, Silent Foto, one gives you the option of a date & time stamp on the bottom of the camera picture, simultaneous shots (I believe up to 10 pictures), but the fact Silent Foto can zoom & out is a major advantage for several BlackBerry users looking for a (silent) camera application such as this.

This free application is definitely a keeper, I give it 5 stars overall, for smoothness, snappy performance, and features....best thing is it's free and available from BlackBerry App World.
