Thread: Opera Mini 4.2

I tried Opera Mini a couple of times previously and never really liked it.
I just downloaded again and wow.
Maybe Crackman v7 makes difference, but the speed is amazing. I can pull up the home page of Blackberryos.com (not the mobile site) in literally seconds. With the BB browser, I could go make a cup of coffee and be back just in time for it to be loaded.

I would be interested to know what settings others are using.
I set mine to:
Image quality - medium
Font size - medium
Protocol - HTTP

Yep those are the settings I have been using since I downloaded it. Seem to work best for me. And yes it did get faster since installing BBC V7

You are so right.
I have to get use to just touching the screen in Opera unlike the BB browser where you have to actually push down to make a selection.

do you guys recemend this over the bb browser?

Laney, that's my dream too

I'm able to load more pictures and see full screen

yes, it is 50 times quicker IMHO... just takes some getting used to with the touch versus the click

I do just the same

I also just Opera mini for browsing the web. I just wished that the keyboard would pop-up when I want to type something.

You have to just type www.blackberryos.com instead of typing mobile address.

yeah on other sites tho it will still bring me to the mobile site i dont no its not a big deal i didnt know bbos had a mobile site tho! wat is it?

You can go m.blackberryos.com or blackberryos.com/mobile.

As far as mobile vs regular site, the browser chooses and I think it has to do with browser settings and site configurations.

I found it annoying at first but after you get used it, it's great.
