Thread: RIM Sends Out Email Promoting Free Premium Apps Worth $77

We reported recently that RIM was giving away free premium apps in App World to US subscribers in attempts to bolster BlackBerry OS 7 smartphone sales in the US. As I was checking my email today it looks like RIM has stepped up the advertising campaign a bit with a mass email outlining the promo. Although this sucks for the rest of BB users around the world, it's nice to see RIM trying to step up their game among the US market where they have continually fallen in numbers. The total value in apps being given away is $77.00 and can be downloaded free until May 31st. BlackBerry OS 7 users only.

Why not in Asia too, like Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the most BB users in the world. Be fair. I think Apple is still dominating US, don't leave the most user behind.
