Well it's another nice update. But I'm experiencing a problem. When I choose a contact from favorite list and send a msg, the msg just didn't show. Empty chatbox. But when I press back button and go back again to the chatbox, the msg is there. Weird.

    Hello alepjumper,

I'll look at this issue you're experiencing, I am going to test this out, and report back.

    Update:

I'm not experiencing that issue, alepjumper.

Also, as a reminder to BlackBerry users, you need full BIS service for WhatsApp to function properly in case you experience any issues with WhatsApp, please make sure you have a data plan that can support applications such as this.

    Thank you.

Hello, Does anyone happen to know if WhatsApp can be downloaded and used on a Blackberry in Honduras that is more a pay as you go plan? From my understanding the phone has 3G and is able to use BBM, but he say's he pays for the BBM's. I don't understand the process but just from having normal cell service I would think WhatApp would work the same as BBM but for free? Correct? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

alepjumper, after some tests I've done on my BlackBerry Bold 9900, I am also experiencing the exact same issue as you, and on a side note, if I didn't fully understand your previous post, I apologize.

This is a confirmed known issue with WhatsApp latest version, and are working on it at the current moment.

I can assume a new WhatsApp version will be released soon via BlackBerry App World, and here, of course

Thank you alepjumper for sharing this issue with us.

    Hello Pucha and welcome to

WhatsApp can be downloaded on a BlackBerry in Honduras.

WhatsApp uses 3G/EDGE internet data plan (or Wi-Fi if available)
as quoted from BlackBerry App World

    Minimum Requirements

    • BlackBerry OS 4.6 or above
    • BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES)

As for your concern, a pay-as-you-go plan; pre-paid, or post-paid data plans, WhatsApp should work regardless, Pucha.

    Thank you.
