LinkedIn seems very silent lately when it comes to news of any BlackBerry-related app. They've not released an updated version of their app since 2010, which is only OS 6 compatible.
With LinkedIn's integration with the upcoming Unified Inbox on PlayBook OS 2 (& hopefully BlackBerry 10), you would think it would be quite strategic for them to make their mobile site more user-friendly for current BlackBerry 7 device owners, & older OS users that didn't like their native app.
Recently, when navigating to m.linkedin.com, I was presented with what seems to be a web app interface, likely based on HTML5. The ease of use & quick response time from the mobile site was astonishing, considering the native app would sometimes take 60-90 seconds to update statuses & network updates.
Could this be because they wish to enrich the focus of their their web-based experience, rather than creating apps across all platforms?
