This application is simply amazing! I remember someone in the past bringing up this idea and he wanted to know if I wanted to help build an application that enables your Blackberry to push to talk feature and damnit, I should have!1

What is it? Hipvoice allows you to push a button and talk to someone with another Blackberry. It is simply AMAZING!! You can use a 7 day free trial then if you wish to continue using it, it is 10.00 a month. I would def snag this free trial.

It doesn't seem like it was instant to me. He seemed to be filling in the time by talking while he was waiting for the response from her. Still a neat idea. I might have to check it out and try it.:biglaugh:

If it is anything like Berry2Berry I played with it just records your voice and send it, then the person on the other end does the same. Not sure if it is or isn't I haven't looked into this one yet :)

Yeah that makes sense. Just funny that he uses the term "instant communication". I know there is no way to have true push to talk. I guess this would be the next best thing. lol. :biggthumpup:

Yeah the beta I tested was pretty cool and the "voicenotes" for lack of a better word were sent and received pretty darn quick.

Ok, here is the hillbilly work around, and I can say that cause I is one, and its cheap. Just record a message using voice notes recorder, and send it as an MMS message. Same thing right?

I am waiting for email to download free trial. (Going on 12 hours) I will try but I can not justify $10.00 mtn $120.00 year. Can someone tell me what I am missing?

Berrytalk is much more economical! Blackberry only, but still much better priced.

Can't you just send voice notes through bb messanger. From watching the video it does seem slow. Doesn't it seem like it would be safer to just talk on the phone while driving rather than having to push a button, say something then wait for a response. I can't understand why people like ptt so much, you have a cell phone why not just call them. Walkie talkies are so 1970s. We should all just carry around CB radios and have special hats made that have a 8 foot antena on the top.

I don't know the guy in the video but they should use a spokesperson who doesn't sound like an insurance salesman (or snake oil vendor). Nothing personal but I was just waiting for him to smash that car into a wall! In my state, hands free means hands free...ie.you better not be holding that Storm when you drive past the local trooper.
All kidding aside, that app, given it's lack of speed and its associated cost doesn't seem like it's worth it.
PS - you mean you can't talk to aliens with your Storm if you wear a tinfoil hat with a 9 foot whip antenna? Yet Another Storm Disappointment!:lmao:

I was waiting for that as well. I have to do hands free as well. Using PTT isn't hands free either.

I'm pretty sure that you need a metal colander and 2 5ft aluminum foil antennas to talk to aliens.
