Vlingo Now Free in BB App World - $19.99 Value

As part of RIM's complimentary outage apps, Vlingo now shows up for free in BlackBerry App World ($19.99 value). Vlingo is your very own Virtual Assistant. Simply speak to Vlingo and it will help you do more stuff, faster and easier than before. Try saying "Text John; What's up?" or "find italian restaurants" or even "update Facebook; I'm on a boat!" Download to learn everything Vlingo can do for you.

This in my opinion is the best app that RIM has offered and worth a lot of value, not only for its high price tag, but for the great features it brings

One thing I recommend anyone who is going to use this app is to purchase an app named SixTools (which is very cheap, $2 USD I think), because:

For Vlingo to work, you will have to set your convenience key to NOTHING, since it will then configure itself to launch with the convenience key. Now the problem is, the new OS 7 devices have only 1 convenience keys so you are really left with no convenience key!

What SixTool does is, it allows you to assign more functions to the Volume Up/Down and Mute key so you have an additional 3 keys for launching stuff like Voice Dialing, your camera, or assigning one of them to QuickLaunch or whatever.

The good thing about SixTool also is that if you were running a media player, listening to a song, watching a video on YouTube, you will not lose the volume up/down/mute key, because it will simply disable itself in those apps so your volume buttons and mute keys will continue to operate just fine where they should and will act as the shortcuts you specified in other situations.
