Blocking calls or SMS from a specific phone number

What is a good app for blocking calls? Would be helpful if app could use wildcards, or block entire calls by area code or something like that.

I'm running Verizon Blackberry Storm (9530).

    Thanks in advance ;-)

Successfully tested for the Storm. Instructions are below.

    i,Call Manager LIGHT v1.2.8

iBerry Black & Whitelist is an application which detects incoming calls and rejects unwanted callers who are blacklisted and allows only callers in the whitelist to come through. You can also use the address book rule to allow only callers in address book. Block even if the caller’s number is unknown or private number.

According to iBerry the phone is disconnected in 50 milliseconds, and the application disables the buzz sound before the Blackberry device starts to make that annoying sound. The callers won’t even know that they are blacklisted or NOT whitelisted, they will hear the busy tone or forwarded to voice mail, depending on your phone setting.

From your BB browser, go to the link i,Call Manager LIGHT v1.2.8 and click next.

Then this screen will appear, click Download.

On the next screen, scroll down till you see the link to install OTA.

Alternatively, you can download to your PC and install it through the DM.
(This is below the OTA link, but needs to be done from your PC)

Once your done installing it will ask you to confirm. Click allow.
Run the application, press the BBkey, and edit profile.
You can edit which numbers you want listed in different profiles.

    Questions, post here. Thank you

I don't think i've heard of that program, but i will check it out.

I know the screen shots were probably overkill, but i know from past experience that once you answer a question there are more that come to mind.

I was thinking of answering your question but from the state of mind that any skill level could get the same end result.

I don't mean to make anybody feel stupid...i'm sure that some people will read this and be "what does he think i am, stupid?" That is not my intention.

    Hey there Neolantis,

No overkill at all... the screen snapshots can help everyone ;-)

I only commented on it because you took the time out to take digital photos of the screens and then uploaded them here. Now that's going the extra mile ;-)

    Warmest Regards,
    Statustray

Yeah, I need to install that app on my Storm as well. It seems to be a very nice tool to document things and to help others ;-)
