Owners of the new Nissan LEAF can now manage their car from their BlackBerry. Nissan has announced the availability of their new app. Take a look at some of the features here:

The Nissan LEAF app is designed to help you manage your vehicle and control many frequently used features directly from your BlackBerry®.

Nissan LEAF owners with an active CARWINGS subscription can control their vehicle through the app.

The app also provides a demo mode for Nissan LEAF enthusiasts to test the features.

With the Nissan LEAF BlackBerry® app, you can:

-Check state of battery charge
-Start charging
-Check when battery charge will complete
-See estimated driving range
-Turn on or off the climate control system

Even if you do not own a Nissan LEAF this is actually pretty intuitive.

Kinda like General Motors...Starting the car at home from the airport, locking and unlocking it. I know, for GM, it's part of their "OnStar" system...but still pretty cool.

I think its freakishly cool,just imagine what they could do next.
