I think, it is a Forums Viewer.

I asked Joe to install their tapatalk.php thingie to enable me to enjoy our forums using that app but I don't know what happened?

Joe, can you please do this?

Let me know if you want the link

    Thanks

I once considered installing Tapatalk on my site but after a little research I canned the idea. #1 - they charge for the iPhone app and I won't have my members having to pay anything to visit my site. And #2 - too many instances of security vulnerabilities in their software in the past that could put my site at risk. VB has a hard enough time keeping up to the security of their product let alone having another chink in the armour.

Still looking into this and I may not install for a couple reasons. First as DownForce pointed out, it promotes your members to pay to have to use part of the site. Second, security could be an issue, but I'm also worried how hard this plugin would be on the system. And lastly, a competitors site's forum is set as the app's default forum, which would be free advertising for them.

BBOS uses the latest version of vBulletin and a mobile style update that is way better than tapatalk's UI is coming out soon, perhaps by the end of this month.

It might be better to add VB mobile suite to your existing license Joe. Costs a couple hundred bucks but you can be certain that it was designed to integrate in properly.

    Code:

    Oooopss......forget that......I forgot they don't support Blackberry.

And VB's mostly official opinion of adding BlackBerry to their list of devices supported in their Mobile Suite. This is from their Senior Operations Manager:

They are really losing marketshare, the number of app downloads an average BlackBerry user makes is around 50% of Android, and 40% of iPhone users.
In addition, a lot of the Blackberry handsets out in circulation are older models that wouldn't be capable of running an app like ours, and we have to support a number of screen sizes and interfaces (keyboard/touchscreen)

I am not ruling it out - but at this point in time until Blackberry can produce a product to the level of Android/iPhone and that device can gain sufficient market share (and app downloads), there isn't a huge amount of value for us to add it.

    Waiting EXRTREMELY impatiently...

By the way, has anyone else noticed that when viewing the site on OS6, it looks much better than OS5? Any way to change that, Joe? (i.e make the OS5 version look like OS6) Or does it have to do with webkit and all that?

Thanks. It's pretty stupid to not develop for something that millions of users have.
